DORO PESCH To Guest On LIV KRISTINE's New Solo Album 'Vervain'
September 11, 2014Norwegian singer Liv Kristine (LEAVES' EYES, ex-THEATRE OF TRAGEDY) will release her fifth solo album, "Vervain", on November 4 in North America via Napalm Records. The CD was once again recorded at Mastersound Studio in Steinheim, Germany — the facility owned by Liv's husband, Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES) — and is described in a press release as "a spectacular piece of musical art: a rock masterpiece in an incomparable sound, multi-faceted and in every song in another shape between light and darkness."
"Vervain" features a guest appearance by German metal queen Doro Pesch in the song "Stronghold Of Angels". Liv says: "This metal hymn is indeed special to me and Doro's unique voice takes this song to an exceptional emotional level.
"Thank you, Doro, for staying with us, moreover, for the great late-night talks."
Kristine will join fellow vocalists Kari Rueslåtten (THE 3RD AND THE MORTAL) and Anneke van Giersbergen (THE GATHERING) for "The Sirens" tour in the fall.
Liv Kristine's fourth solo album, "Libertine", was released in September 2012 through the Napalm Records subsidiary Black Rose Productions.
The singer's third solo CD, "Skintight", came out in North America in September 2010 via Napalm.
